About this ebook

Due to the sheer number of Wicca 101 books on the market, many newcomers to the Craft find themselves piecing together their Wiccan education by reading a chapter from one book, a few pages from another. Rather than depending on snippets of wisdom to build a new faith, Wicca for Beginners provides a solid foundation to Wicca without limiting the reader to one tradition or path.

Embracing both the spiritual and the practical, Wicca for Beginners is a primer on the philosophies, culture, and beliefs behind the religion, without losing the mystery that draws many students to want to learn. Detailing practices such as grounding, raising energy, visualization, and meditation, this book offers exercises for core techniques before launching into more complicated rituals and spellwork.

Finalist for the Coalition of Visionary Resources Award for Best Wiccan/Pagan Book

"In her first book-length work, Sabin presents a first-rate, fresh, and thorough addition to the burgeoning field of earth-based spiritual practice volumes...written in a light, informative style that magically mines depth, breadth and brevity."—Publishers Weekly (starred review)

I have been a wiccan for about two years, but I only read the beginning of a few books and researched wicca through youtube; so I thought I'd refresh my knowledge and maybe learn something new. I also met quite a few wiccans and witches. not all wiccans consider themselves witches or want to be called a witch. The author doesn't even know that you're supposed to spell magick with a K. otherwise most people who spell it with a c like "magic" are talking about card tricks. it pisses me off that she is misinforming the masses like that. i'm mainly pissed off about the witch thing. wicca is a pagen religion and maybe even came from shamanism. I'm not going to waste my time reading too far into this book. it's garbage

This was my first Wiccan book and I have to say I am pleased with it. The way it is written is more like a conversation than a manuscript which is really nice. She covers a brief history of Pagan and the early Wiccan years. She does not give you a set path, but simple guidelines so you can follow your own path. She covered the Goddess and God along with other pantheons, which I think is amazing. The book mostly covers any basic information you will need to be set on the Wiccan path, such as altar set up, how to contact the spiritual realm, how to harness your "energy", how to shield and how to ground. How to make a circle and take one down. How to conduct a ritual and what tools you would need or not need. The good thing is she does have book references at the back for suggested reading. A must buy if you are learning or curious about Wicca.
