This book was a complete joy. I always love reading Jill Shalvis’s books because the character-driven plots are engaging and brilliantly orchestrated. I could not put this book down. Wyatt was a complete dream! He is patient, kind and has a heart of gold. He claims several times that he’s not always good, hinting at a little bad boy attitude, but I never saw or experienced it while reading. Wyatt’s been hurt and the absolute LAST thing he wants to do is invest time in another woman who isn’t interested in sticking around Sunshine, Idaho...but it seems he just can’t resist the charms of his new intern, Emily. Emily drove me crazy through the whole book with her big “plan” to intern at a prestigious Veterinary clinic in L.A. and to date/marry some guy named John she’s not even involved with. Emily doesn’t want to have to struggle financially like her parents did when she and her sister were growing up. That’s understandable, but I just wanted to shake her every time she threw her plan up in Wyatt’s face but then turn around and initiate their sexual encounters. But, you know what they say about the best laid plans…Emily never had a chance :) I am not an animal person but I loved reading about the animal aspect of the book. The animal interactions complimented the angst-y scenes giving the story balance and continuity. I also loved being introduced to the citizens of Sunshine and learning about them and their animals. Some stories were full of joy, while a few were full of sorrow. Aside from Emily being a total butthead, I absolutely loved the story. The characters were amazing, the chemistry between Emily and Wyatt was powerful and their passion was explosive! And I cannot tell you how many times I laughed out loud! The dialogue was delightfully witty and had me smiling throughout the story. One of the best book’s I’ve read this year and I’m heartbroken that we have to wait until April 2015 for the next one. Thank you, Ms. Shalvis for this amazing story, it was…enchanting. ***I was gifted an eBook copy from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

This was the first book of hers that I've read and I absolutely loved it! My husband kept looking at me like I was weird because I was smiling like a fool and laughing way too loud out of nowhere. Will be spending the next week binge shopping and reading any books of hers I can get my hands on 😊
