About this eBook

An antimeme is an idea with self-censoring properties; an idea which, by its intrinsic nature, discourages or prevents people from spreading it.

Antimemes are real. Think of any piece of information which you wouldn't share with anybody, like passwords, taboos and dirty secrets. Or any piece of information which would be difficult to share even if you tried: complex equations, very boring passages of text, large blocks of random numbers, and dreams...

But anomalous antimemes are another matter entirely. How do you contain something you can't record or remember? How do you fight a war against an enemy with effortless, perfect camouflage, when you can never even know that you're at war?

Welcome to the Antimemetics Division.

No, this is not your first day.

What if HP Lovecraft met modern science fiction? What constitutes memory, thought, and how ideas are communicated? This is what you'd get. It's dense & keeps you off balance. This is not a light, fluffy read, that is, not pulp fiction. It challenges you to keep up the whole time. If that's what you want, this is your book. It's not for everyone. BTW, all of this author's work has a similar bent in that the characters are distinct, the reader is always trying to figure out where this is all going, but no repeat plots or characters. This is not formulaic writing. It's much more like real life in that there are typically no easy answers.

Lovely and horrifying, and exactly what anything of such strange and expansive ideas should be. A reader will question the very concepts of memory, relevance, care, love, knowledge, and truth. This is a full and wonderfully dark ride which persists to a strange and grim, though persistently bright end.

This is by far the weirdest thing I have ever read. Its full of insights into memory, heroism, and unimaginable forces aligned against unimaginable terror. Its also got a sweet, satisfying love story. This was awesome!
