Colin Thompson has worked as a printer, graphic designer, Hebridean weaver, stage manager, potter and film maker. He began writing and illustrating in 1991. Since then he has had over forty books published which have won awards around the world. His picture books include THE VIOLIN MAN, NORMAN AND BRENDA and THE SHORT BUT INCREDIBLY HAPPY LIFE OF RILEY.
