AWESOME this book is 100% better than The Twilight series. The vampires do not sparkle like a diamond in sunlight. Sita made Ray into a vampire to save his life. Ray fell in love with Sita when he saw her. Sita really needs to have Sex with Seymour.

Just no. I felt the story just fell flat, the romance plot between Sita and Ray felt forced, and that the whole story in general just lagged and was missing something; that magic. However, me being me, once I start a series I like to finish the series. I'm not a fan of Twilight at all but the Twilight series was better than this series, I felt; even the Vampire Diaries was better. So if you're looking for another Twilight, or even The Vampire Diaries, this isn't the book for you.

I have the single binding of The Last Vampire and couldn't stop reading! I can't find the others in single, but now I know and can continue with the journey with probably the best vampire story I've read yet.

About the author

Christopher Pike is a bestselling young adult novelist and has published several adult books as well—Sati and The Season of Passage being the most popular. In YA, his Last Vampire series—often called Thirst—is a big favorite among his fans. Pike was born in Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in Los Angeles. He lives in Santa Barbara, California, with his longtime partner, Abir. Currently, several of Pike’s books are being turned into films, including The Midnight Club, which Netflix released as part of a ten-part series. The Midnight Club also draws from a half dozen of Pike’s earlier works. Presently, The Season of Passage is being adapted as a feature film by Universal Studios while Chain Letter—one of Pike all-time bestselling books—is also being adapted by Hollywood. At the moment, Pike is hard at work on a new YA series.
