A surprisingly excellent overview of algebra, from the very basic to reasonably complex, this book follows a typical curriculum still studied in high schools and colleges today. The language is thoroughly modern, the concepts explained very clearly and lucidly, and all the problems are explained step by step. The only reason this book does not get 5 stars is because so many of the problems deal with British pounds and shillings, none of which I understand or am willing to bother learning, making it hard to follow along some problems.
