First, this book gives you some of the concepts straight with simple code. But I think the price is too high for the info provided. There are references at the end of each chapter for more info. So you have to basically get more details from the web which I think if you spent sometime on activemq site or some blog posts you would surely get to those. I would recommend more to go for "ActiveMQ in action" which would be worth the time and money.
