I remember when I bought this book in physical form last year. I was hooked from the first page to the last, I love the games very much (exception being Blacklist so far) so it takes a lot to get me to read. I love reading when I'm in the mood. I will say that I really enjoyed this book. It kept me wondering what's going to happen from.start to end. I can't wait to finish book 2 and continue down the list!

I could visualize myself playing the Splinter Cell games while reading this book. I would have killed more people, but thats just me. Loved the plot, although i felt like the plot was "borrowed" fron 24's first season. Great read nonetheless.

In my opinion SC books are more interesting than games itself, since games don't really have the atmospheric difficulty of spying and sneaking for the main protagonist that books have to offer. And the difficulties of traveling is something that games don't have at all. Anyhow, I really enjoyed these books and I hope there will be more in the future.

About the author

A little more than thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. Years before, he had been an English major at Baltimore’s Loyola College and had always dreamed of writing a novel. His first effort, The Hunt for Red October, sold briskly as a result of rave reviews, then catapulted onto the New York Times bestseller list after President Reagan pronounced it “the perfect yarn.” From that day forward, Clancy established himself as an undisputed master at blending exceptional realism and authenticity, intricate plotting, and razor-sharp suspense. He passed away in October 2013.
