After reading the title i realized that NOTHING could top that so i put it away. I still have goose bumps! Difficult to read but a great book.

An excellent biography on one of the most misunderstood ball players of the 20th century. And to add, one of the best baseball players of all time!

For fifteen years he wrote for The New York Times and has contributed to such magazines as Golf, Men's Journal, Parade, Reader’s Digest, and Smithsonian. He is currently the investigative features correspondent for Manhattan Magazine. He lives in Sag Harbor, New York.

Danny Peary is a sports and pop culture historian who has published twenty books.
