Tom Hammell has been riding a bike as long as he can remember. As an avid bike rider and member of the Princeton Freewheelers (PFW) and Bicycle club of Philadelphia (BCP) he rides thousands of miles a year leading other riders through the beautiful back roads of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania and spends a least a weekend a year riding around Gettysburg as part of the annual BCP Fall Foliage Trip. He has written two other books for Falcon Guides, Road Biking New Jersey and Best Bike Rides Philadelphia. He lives in central New Jersey.
