About this ebook

A unique story about first—and last—loves from the celebrated and bestselling author of We All Looked Up.

Parker Santé hasn’t spoken a word in five years. While his classmates plan for bright futures, he skips school to hang out in hotels, killing time by watching the guests. But when he meets a silver-haired girl named Zelda Toth, a girl who claims to be quite a bit older than she looks, he’ll discover there just might be a few things left worth living for.

Without spoiling anything, this book just does such a brilliant job of putting life into perspective. It's just written in a very real "a 17 year old kid in 2016 wrote this" way, but it's a brilliant 17 year old kid, and it's written brilliantly. I have like 3 or 4 quotes from it in my quote book. My favorite being "But I think life is a little like one of those special memory-foam mattresses that they advertise on TV, where you can drop a bowling ball on one side and the person sleeping a few inches away doesnt feel a thing. Our biggest tragedies are still just ours" Our biggest tragedies are still just ours is such a profound statement, and even if it isn't true all the time, it's certainly the way it is a lot of the time. Support is one thing, but there are few tragedies that are truly shared between people. I discovered this book when I was 14, and almost 5 years later every time I read it I still find new meaning and I grow to appreciate it more and more. It's just that good.

Man, this book has been the best I have read for awhile. Everything about this book is perfect, the plot, the humor, the stories, the whole book itself. I can totally see this book becoming a movie just like the John Green books/movies. You can even see the movie having Parker Sante being like a narrator, (even though he is mute) talking in his head or journal. Just AMAZING!!!!
