He is the author of Speaking Our Minds: Conversations with the People Behind Landmark Amendment Cases (2002), coauthor of The Law of Journalism and Mass Communication (2007), and editor of Defending the First: Commentary on First Amendment Issues and Cases (2005). He lives in Chandler, Arizona.
