Janie is a technical editor who lives in New York City, next door to her best friend Kiki. She is very independent and determine not to let the fact that she is blind rule her life. Boyd is a paramedic and a firefighter, who happens to do consulting work in Janie's office. He is focused, working 3 jobs and trying to get into medical school. Although Janie thinks of him as a big flirt, her misfortune will lead them to get close pretty fast and she'll discover a very sweet and caring guy. I feel like I've been waiting a long time for this book and the anticipation was pretty high. the Remington series has been my favorite, so my expectations were huge. The only negative things I'm going to say about this book is: I thought it was a little slow in the beginning and didn't get into the story until about half way through. After their visit in Boyd's hometown, I didn't want to put the book down and I was sad when it ended! Kiki was probably my favorite «sidekick» in all Melissa's books! She's such a spontanious, expressive girl! She had me laughing a couple times while reading scenes with her. It was fun to get news on Siena and Cash; they are such a fun couple!! Now, I can't wait to read about the Montgomery Girls!
