The complex meanings and design practices related to “sustainability” are the topics of this book.  What several issues, opportunities, roles, and concepts do sustainability must deal with? The different contributions offer a broad and interdisciplinary reflection of this idea from an ethical, social, and design point of view. They involve, at different scales, the new social and cultural models induced by the post-pandemic society and the possible forms of living that derive from it.

O autoru

PhD, is Assistant Professor in Interior Architecture and Exhibition Design at DAStU Department, Politecnico di Milano. Her research focuses on domestic interiors, museography and exhibition design, and practices of disseminating collective memory through a multidisciplinary theoretical approach. Recently, she has been working on the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on changes in contemporary living. Among her publications: Abitare oltre la casa. Metamorfosi del domestico (2022); Covid Home: Luoghi e modi dell’abitare, dalla pandemia in poi (2020); Nestorio Sacchi Architetto: Esperienze di progetto e design nella Bergamo del Novecento (2018); Oltre il memoriale: Le tracce, lo spazio, il ricordo (2015).

PhD, is Professor of Interior Architecture and Exhibition Design and member of PhD Program board in Architectural, Urban and Interior Design at Politecnico di Milano. Coordinator of the ACI/BEI Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) at the School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. Coordinator of the Master Double Degree between the AUIC School at the Politecnico di Milano and the Jiaotong University of Xi’an. Author of several publications with domestic and foreign publishers. He takes part in and runs many architectural and scenic design workshops, both in Italy and abroad. He takes part in and organises national and international conferences. Member of editorial boards of scientific series. He has taken part in several national and international architecture competitions and awards, and has won prizes and distinctions. In 2018 he won the “Compasso d’Oro” award.
