About the author

Toyin Falola is Jacob and Frances Sanger Mossiker Chair in the Humanities and Distinguished Teaching Professor at the University of Texas at Austin. He is author of Colonialism and Violence in Nigeria (IUP) and editor (with Matt D. Childs) of The Yoruba Diaspora in the Atlantic World (IUP).

Akintunde Akinyemi is Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures and affiliate faculty at the Center for African Studies at the University of Florida. He is author of Orature and Yoruba Riddles and Yoruba Royal Poetry: A Socio-Historical Exposition and Annotated Translation.
