About this ebook

After losing her mother in a freak accident, Suede Harris is trying to pick up the pieces and move

on with her life. With a history of trouble, including bad relationships, alcohol, and ditching

college, finishing up her criminology degree seemed like the best way to start.

While catching up back home with summer courses, she joins a study group to keep on track, but

when her friends convince her to go geocaching, a simple trip will shake things up. When the

only treasure they find is a human bone, it will send her on a mission fueled by personal trauma

to figure out what happened to the victim.

Will she find the killer, or uncover secrets that have been long buried?

While the storyline in this book is good, I found myself wondering if it had been written by a teenager who was failing in english class. I've never read a book with such poor grammer in all of my 62 years. This will be a first for me to say, but it is a story so badly written that I can actually not care about how it ends. I'm putting this one down.

I am a geocacher. I really loved the plot and the characters. My only complaint is about the geocaching references. There is NO "Level 5" ~ only a DIFFICULTY (how hard it is to find out how difficult the puzzle) 5 or a TERRAIN 5. Both are listed on the cache page. Also, the containers are almost always called caches. After finding 16,800 of them, I've never seen the word "Capsule" to describe the container. I realize that this is petty, but when it's in the title of the book, I feel accuracy is a good thing. That said, I definitely will read the entire series because the writing deserves it.

This book is the beginning of a new thriller/mystery series by this author. I have read other series by this author and found them to pack a punch from the start. This book sets up differently with a slower build up that allows the reader to really get to know some of the key players backgrounds and gives a hint into some of the relationships and connections. This small town story starts out with Suede and Riley starting a second chance in their respective lives after a huge joint event cost them both. Suede and Riley join a study group with friends who also have skeletons in their pasts. Once the group stumbles upon some bones while geocaching, the story heats up. Great start to this series which begins with thriller/mystery/romance. It's all right here and I'm ready to find out more.
