Transnational commercial law represents the outcome of work undertaken to harmonize national laws affecting domestic and cross-border transactions and is upheld by a diverse spectrum of instruments. Sir Roy Goode is Emeritus Professor of Law in the University of Oxford and Emeritus Fellow of St. John's College, Oxford Ewan McKendrick is Registrar of the University of Oxford, Professor of English Private Law at the University of Oxford, and a Fellow of Lady Margaret Hall.
