Ratings and reviews

Immensely enjoyable slow read for good feels. Ideal for reading a few pages / one chapter to wind down your day. The pacing can be a bit slow if you go in expecting high adventure... so, don't? If slow reading doesn't appeal, maybe check out the audiobook. It's read by the author and he does wonderful voices and delivery of the story. I will definitely revisit the book & audiobook in the future when I'm in the mood for a cozy tale with fine companions and mouth-watering food (descriptions).

Cute, whimsical, and fun. “After a lifetime of bounties and bloodshed, Viv is hanging up her sword for the last time.” Such a cute book!! Viv hangs up her sword to open a coffee shop. I loved the idea of the coffee being new to them. I can't wait to see what's up next for Viv and her new found family. Love it.

I started and finished this book in a single night, getting next to no sleep in the process for my appointment the next day. This book is amazing and such a wonderful story. I want to read more about Viv and Tandri! I loved everything about this.

About the author

Travis Baldree is a full-time audiobook narrator who has lent his voice to hundreds of stories. Before that, he spent decades designing and building video games like Torchlight, Rebel Galaxy, and Fate. Apparently, he now also writes books, including his first novel Legends & Lattes. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his very patient family and their small, nervous dog.
