Such a tear jerker. Truly a huge fan and I'm always looking forward to the next story. I see split parents all the time make the mistakes of putting their kids in the middle. My own mother did, but my Dad refuses to this day to say a bad word about her...so this book really touches home for me. It's really an inspiration.

I absolutely hated it. Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorites so I was very disappointed. There isn't really a love story in it, its a breakup story.... AND, as if the homosexual agenda isn't shoved in my face everyday, now I have to read about it in a Nicholas Sparks book. The guys sister in this book is gay and we read about her relationship with her girlfriend. SiCK and offensive. Not everyone agrees with it or wants to read about it. I may be done with Nicholas Sparks.

This book isn't what you would expect from Nicholas Sparks. It's not the epic romance that sweeps you away. It's an every day story, but it's still filled with magic. The lead's wife leaves him, and it becomes a father daughter love story. He has a young daughter (around five years old). He has to take on a lot of her care and comes to realize how wonderful spending time with her is. It's realistic and deals with a lot of real life issues. I wasn't overwhelmed with emotions like I feel during most of his books, but I did become emotionally connected and really liked it.
