Welcome to the fantasy world of Tygo Lee, filled with dreams, enchanted places, and new friends! Though the book is about dreams, I’ve never come across something more realistic before! This was an enlightening and enjoyable read! The stories are written somewhat like fairy tales, and will surely be of a great interest for both kids and adults! Slumberland is written in an easy-to-follow style. It is light-hearted, serious, and funny all at the same time. One moment, I was laughing about Tygo trying to avoid being fried up as a snack in Getting Ogre You, and later, I was deeply reflecting on his encounter with Sairah in the concluding and rather mystical tale of Slumberland! Thank you, Tygo Lee, for providing me with such a wonderful opportunity to undertake an amazing journey into the land of dreams, which curiously has so much in common with life itself. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

If you’re looking for something different to read, then ​a trip to ​Slumberland might be just for you. It’s a collection of wonderful stories by author Tygo Lee. Every tale has its own plot, but there’s a common thread running through all of them, it being an array of issues and ideas that we encounter in our day-to-day life—the things that you don’t think about often, or that you forget about. I really enjoyed “Remembering When”, because it struck so close to home, giving me that jolt to go out and do things to live more in the here and now. Not to mention, Slumberland is a blast to read, what with the creative writing and motivational language. So, if you’re looking for a book to spend a few good evenings with, I highly recommend it.

Wow, what an unusual book this was to read. Tygo Lee himself is the main character in each of the seven tales (no kidding), and he goes off into a dream world each time, called Slumberland, where he has the craziest, funniest, and even most heartwarming adventures I could’ve ever imagined! He wakes up as a bird in one of the dreams and flies around the neighborhood to chat with his neighbors (much to their surprise and disbelief), meets up with an ogre in another (who wants to fry him up for a snack), is in a jungle with Ana Conda (yeah, a big, out-of-sorts snake), and much more. What fun, and sort of spooky too, I gotta say. And it made me wonder how real my own dreams really are, or at least, if there’s something I’m supposed to learn from each one, as Tygo ended up doing for his. Very unusual, and now I am convinced that I definitely need to pay more attention to what I’m dreaming about in the future.
