About the author

Udayakumar Gopalakrishnan is a Management Consultant, Facilitator and Leadership Coach, based at Chennai, India.

Uday is a graduate from Loyola College and PG in HR, from XLRI and invested 11 years in senior HR roles at Murugappa and Rane groups. CORE MIND [his life calling] was launched in 1993. He has passionately partnered around 600 corporate clients across India and overseas and transformed 30,000 plus corporate professionals.

He has attended more than 25 workshops, focused on Leadership, OD, Mentoring and Coaching, with Tavistock Institute of HR [UK], NTL Institute, Franklin Covey, Center for Creative Leadership, Perrone Ambrose Associates, Giant Impact and University of Michigan, at USA. He completed OD Certification track with NTL and co-facilitated workshops at USA, after becoming their institution member, in 2005.

He is a Certified Professional Coach [ICA], Australia and Professional Certified Coach [PCC — ICF], USA. He has applied to be a Master Certified Coach. He is a Certified Fellow and Assessor from Six Seconds, USA and authorized to administer Emotional Intelligence surveys.

The seminal management book that he authored in 2016, What it Takes to be a Leader with Passion has received rave reviews.

He is an avid follower of cricket, tennis, loves listening to melody songs and reading.
