About the author

Lorna Uden is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Computing at Staffordshire University in UK. Her research interests include learning technology, web engineering and technology, big data, knowledge management, and the Internet of Things. She has authored more than 200 papers and is on the editorial board of several international journals, including as the founder and editor-in-chief for the International Journal of Web Engineering and Technology, and the International Journal of Learning Technology. She has been invited as keynote speaker at many international conferences and visiting professor at many universities internationally. She is the conference chair for both KMO and LTEC. She also travels widely to give workshop on Problem Based Learning. Listed in the ScholarGPS 2024 of the Top 0.5% Scientists in the world

Chris Beaumont is Senior Lecturer, Department of Computing, Liverpool Hope University College. He is currently pathway leader for Internet Technology where he teaches on undergraduate and MSc computing programs. After graduating as a Senior Scholar in Computer Science from Trinity College, Cambridge, he worked in industry with GEC-Marconi and Digital Equipment Corporation for a number of years before returning to higher education. He is a registered practitioner within the Higher Education Academy and has also held a number of External Examiner posts within the UK. He has been practicing and researching Problem-based Learning for a number of years and has published and presented several papers on PBL. [Editor]
