Um Aldrin (nama aslinya adalah Aldrin Aditya) lahir di Bandung pada tanggal 29 Juni 1980. Ia pernah mengenyam pendidikan di SD Banjarsari IV Bandung, SMP Taruna Bakti Bandung, SMU Taruna Bakti Bandung, dan pernah kuliah di Fakultas Hukum Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung.

Beristrikan seorang wanita bernama Ayunda. Memiliki seorang anak sulung laki-laki bernama Yildiray dan seorang anak bungsu perempuan bernama Esmeray. Hingga saat ini selalu tinggal di Bandung. Bisa dikontak di Facebook dan Instagram di akun @um_aldrin.

Beberapa puisinya pernah dimuat dibeberapa majalah online luar negeri. Di antaranya adalah puisi yang berjudul "The Man Who Paints A Yellow Flower And A Starry Night" dimuat di Poetry Space dan "Remembering The Siege Of Sarajevo" dimuat di Anak Sastra 14th issue. Novel pertamanya yang berjudul “Tentang Sofia” telah terbit indie melalui Ar-Rahman Press di pertengahan 2019. Novel kedua berjudul “Reza & Rahasia Terpendam Istanbul” terbit indie di akhir 2019 dan novel ketiga "Gambar Bulan" terbit indie tahun 2020 juga melalui penerbit Najmazea Publisher.
