John Scalzi is a freelance writer and the author of several books, including The Rough Guide to Money Online (2000), The Rough Guide to the Universe (2003), and the science fiction novel Old Man's War (2005). Scalzi lives in rural Bradford, Ohio, with his wife Kristine and daughter Athena Marie.
