About this eBook

The most wonderful time of the year is about to get even better.

On a cold, rainy December morning, Finn’s beloved Grampa, his best friend and rock, makes a friend outside their home who he invites in for coffee. The last thing Finn expects is Nelson, a man with a painful past, who is beautiful and generous and turns Finn’s knees into jelly.

What starts out as a chance to get out of the rain, soon becomes more as Nelson helps Finn get ready for the Christmas market. They bond over coffee and fabric and Mariah Carey. Can handmade Christmas ornaments and an understanding heart give Nelson the love he’s been denied?

A Nice Sweet Short Story I really enjoyed this sweet Christmas story. Short stories can be difficult things to get right. Many readers will say that the story isn't long enough, it doesn't contain enough depth, etc. I think that Nell Iris did a great job with Under the Felt Mistletoe. This isn't a hot, sexy M/M story but what it lacks in heat it makes up for in the sweet relationship that develops between Finn and Nelson. There is also a great character in Finn's Grampa who encourages Finn and Nelson's developing relationship. If you enjoy short stories with a lot of heart you won't go wrong with this one. An advanced copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author. ***Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions dot com*** (Posting on December 16, 2018)

Nell Iris did it again. She has written a delightful and charming Christmas story. It’s a short and quick read, but oh-so sweet and cute, and it gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings I love to have when reading a Christmas story. Finn is a happy man, bubbling with ideas, and friendly to everyone. His life would have been different if not for his supportive grandfather. Nelson hasn’t been so lucky. He had to make his own place in the world. No wonder he is shy and hesitant accepting their friendship. But he can’t resist Finn’s charms nor the felt mistletoe hanging in the doorway. And everyone should be so lucky to have a mischievous Grampa playing Cupid. So give yourself an early Christmas present and buy this book. Bundle up on the couch with a cup of coffee and some gingerbread cookies and enjoy.

About the author

Nell is a forty-something bisexual Swedish woman, married to the love of her life, and a proud mama of a grown daughter. She left the Scandinavian cold and darkness for warmer and sunnier Malaysia a few years ago, and now spends her days writing, surfing the Internet, enjoying the heat, and eating good food. One day she decided to chase her lifelong dream of being a writer, sat down in front of her laptop, and wrote a story about two men falling in love. Nell writes gay romance, prefers sweet over angst, and wants to write diverse and different characters.
