This book picks up and continues Gabriel and Elise's story, so be sure to read book 1, Power Play first. There is such an exquisite poignancy to this piece of the story. Right from the first chapter my heart ached, and that pain just never eased. These two simply have me feeling, EVERYTHING. Elise is easy to like but Gabriel will wreck you. Broken, vengeful, filled with self-loathing and an underlying layer of gentle sweetness, he simply steals your heart.

Read book #1 and definitely was sold as a m/f book. Now this book has a sharing scene with the hero's ex-male lover and the heroine. And not necessarily consensually either. Very frustrating that this other has a pattern of not being up front and letting readers know what the book will be about. Need trigger warnings in the synopsis.
