About the author

JENNY BOWERS is one tenth of the UK based illustration collective Peepshow. She studied Illustration and Animation at Manchester Metropolitan University and then did an MA in Animation at the Royal College of Art graduating in 1999. She joined Peepshow in 2003 has worked collaboratively with Peepshow members and individually on commercial and self initiated projects ever since. Her work all starts with a pencil, a paint brush and a tube of black paint. Her clients are many and varied, encompassing editorial work, packaging illustration, and textile design. Clients include AOL, Clinique, Kate Spade, Roxy, Elle Decoration, The Guardian, howies, Samsung, Waitrose, and The Victoria and Albert Museum.

Ursula Buchan is an award-winning garden journalist and author with more than 30 years' experience. After Cambridge University, she trained as a gardener at the Royal Horticultural Society's gardens at Wisley and at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. She has presented two series on flower shows for Channel 4 and has appeared on BBC radio. She has written columns for the Observer, Sunday Telegraph, Independent, the Spectator, the Daily Telegraph and The Garden magazine and has published many books.
