An even smaller number formed Nieuport 124, a squadron of American pilots commanded by French officers, the famous Lafayette Escadrille. This is the beginning of their story...

"Bottom line...this is a great book and I'd like to share it with the Air Force's top leadership." General T. Michael Moseley, Chief of Staff of the Air Force. July 24, 2006.
