This is exactly why I stopped reading and collecting comic books at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths back in 1987. Decades of character development tossed aside like so much trash just for the sake of appealing to a younger audience. The history is what drew me in and kept me and then to dismiss all of that to reinvent everyone and everything was so disappointing. But at least it saved me from spending thousands of dollars on comics every year. Plus I was able to get some cash back on the thousands of comic books I had in my collection. One of the most expensive lessons I learned.

Ho-hum...I don't think I can handle that many new books at a single time.
