About the author

Fatma Nevra SEGGIE

Dr. Seggie received her Ph.D. from the Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education Program at the Department of Educational Administration at Michigan State University. She has an M.A. in English Language Studies and Methods from the Department of English Language Teacher Education at the University of Warwick, UK. Dr. Seggie earned her B.A. in English Language Teaching from Istanbul University, Turkey. She has been a faculty member in the Department of Educational Sciences at Boğaziçi University since December 2007.



Veysel GÖKBEL

Currently a Ph.D. candidate in Social and Comparative Analysis in Education (SCAE), Veysel Gökbel received his M.Ed. from the SCAE program at the University of Pittsburgh and his B.A. in Educational Science from Istanbul University. Mr. Gökbel concentrates on the Middle East and North Africa in his research at the University of Pittsburgh’s Global Studies Center. He is also a project assistant at the Institute for International Studies in Education (IISE) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
