This novel made me fall deeper in love with reading. I've re-read this countless times. My mother bought a copy from a second-hand bookstore, and I think I was 10 when I first read this. The more I re-read it as I got older, the more I appreciated it. Thank goodness for digital books! Now I can easily read more of her work!!

Eleanor Alice Burford Hibbert, better known to readers as Victoria Holt, Philippa Carr, and Jean Plaidy, was one of the world's most beloved and enduring authors. Her career spanned five decades and she continued to write historical fiction and romantic suspense until her death in 1993.
