A Scot for Christmas is the story of Sophia, a girlfan of Jane Austen, and Harris, a Scottish Duke. Both have mutual friends and have met on several occasions. Years earlier, Sophia moved to London from America to escape a horrible family life and to immerse herself in all things Jane Austen. As Harris pursues her, Sophia can't believe that this man is truly interested in her. I enjoy Victoria Pinder's writing; it is crisp, concise and delivers the HEA ending for her characters. Yet for me, I was disappointed with this story. Sophia was indecisive at every turn. I'm sure Harris would have had a case of whiplash trying to follow her on again/off again attitude. I loved the other stories in this series featuring Stephanie and Charlie and Charlotte and Logan. I loved Harris and all his romantic gestures, but Sophia? Not so much. While I wanted Harris to find his forever love, I really felt that he could have made a better choice for a wife. 3 stars.

Sofia and her friends share a love of Jane Austin. Harris Kellison is the hero that Sofia needs, she just needs to let herself believe in the fairytale that could be her life. Lots of great characters and a HEA.
