About this ebook

A match made in heaven even when the earthy people called them different. As it goes, the girl, Jessica is black and Ethiopian and the boy, Norman, is white and American. Two people from two different civilizations with two different flaws that are almost the same meet each other in the capital city of India, Delhi. And this country, India would give them a chance to come together, to become whole and one, but in return, it would demand a sacrifice.
A gruesome injustice of nature is cast upon them that keeps them from becoming whole, becoming one. Yet, it keeps them bound together and close. Norman's imperfection and insomnia and Jessica's inner conflict with a promise she made in the past make them defy their love for each other, which they camouflage through Maunvrat, through a fast of silence for a week.
For Norman and Jessica, a week of silence is like a century of a mélange of all kinds of feelings there are. But we all know the saying: The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.
They are about to get everything but in return, they must give something.
Love demands a sacrifice. Love loves sacrifice.
Ready to sacrifice their own laughter for each other's smile, they keep asking themselves:
What happiness it would be if not laughed with him?
What home it would be if not shared with him?
What success it would be if not earned for her?
What life it would be if not lived with her?
Will they be laughing together?
Will they be sharing a home together?
Will they be living and dying together?
This is just the beginning as there the many questions that need to be answered.
