O autoru

Bram Stoker (1847–1912) stands out in the annals of horror and gothic literature as the creator of one of the most iconic characters ever conceived: Count Dracula, from his seminal work, 'Dracula' (1897). An Irish author, Stoker was born in Dublin and, prior to his writing career, worked as the manager of the famous actor Henry Irving and as a business manager of the Lyceum Theatre in London. Stoker was a part of the literary staff of 'The Daily Telegraph' and wrote other novels and short stories, including 'The Jewel of Seven Stars' and 'The Lair of the White Worm.' His foray into the supernatural and the occult was not merely confined to fiction. Stoker's interest in these subjects is also reflected in his posthumously published collection 'WITCHCRAFT & MAGIC - Ultimate Collection,' which showcases his explorations of the dark and the mystical. His literary style often displays a fascination with the unknown and a rich use of both Gothic and romantic elements, providing an atmospheric context that haunts readers beyond the confines of the page. Stoker's writings have not only entertained but have also significantly influenced the horror genre, setting the groundwork for the modern vampire mythos and entwining his name eternally with the image of the nocturnal Count.
