About this ebook

Collects Nextwave #1-6. The Highest Anti-Terrorism Effort, or H.A.T.E. (a subsidiary of the Beyond Corporation) put Nextwave together to fight Bizarre Weapons of Mass Destruction. When Nextwave discovers that H.A.T.E. and Beyond are terrorist cells themselves, and that the BWMDs were intended to kill them, they are less than pleased. In fact, they are rather angry. So they make things explode. Lots of things. Starring Monica Rambeau (formerly Captain Marvel and Photon), Aaron Stack (Machine Man), Tabitha Smith (X-Force's Meltdown), monster-hunter Elsa Bloodstone and the Captain! Guest-starring Fin Fang Foom!

Nextwave starts as an funny and absurd Marvel story that keeps getting crazier. And that is just in vol. 1 - which I give a strong 4. In Vol 2. it takes the craziness, turns it up to eleven and goes to another dimension althogehter = the best comic book ever.

For those who love Marvel but silently laugh at the gaping plot holes and over narrated fight sequences, you have found your holy text! Nextwave is part Homage, part Satire and wholly irreverent. Studded with a cast of characters old and new that will have you rolling on the floor and hungry for the next page.

I'm not normally into superhero comics, but Nextwave has a certain anarchic sense of humor about itself that makes it much more readable than any of these characters would be if they were played straight.
