About this eBook

When a human dares to butcher Arik’s mane, he gets his revenge—and claims her as his mate.

A billionaire CEO and leader of the largest East Coast pride, Arik is a ladies man and a lion. Used to commanding others, and obedience, he can’t believe it when a hairdresser with tempting curves chops off a hunk of his precious mane.

But her biggest mistake is in running from him.

Run as fast as you can, little mouse, because this cat loves to chase—and pounce.

Oh, and he also likes to nibble on tender bits. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for a human woman, a woman who can make the impossible happen because everyone knows lions can’t purr…until now.

Such a delightful read. The plot was very well written and the character development truly astonishing. Arik is everything a man should be. Charming and sweet but all man. Kira was a firecracker of independence and funny as hell. Do yourself a favor and read this now!

An alphabet of attributes… Arrogant/Attractive, Braggart/Bold, Chauvinist/Courageous... Eve Langlais has a way with writing witty tales that leave me grinning and laughing. They are also full of spunky heroines, alpha males, a touch of suspense and downright feel good moments. When an Alpha Purrs sparks the trail of laughter’s tears right from the get go. When hot and arrogant CEO, Arik barges into Kira’s grandfather’s hairdressing salon insinuating that she in all her femaleness isn’t good enough to cut his hair in her grandfather’s absence let’s just say he got her dander up. When he compounded the error of his ways with a bit of sexual harassment he pushed this hairdresser just a bit too far. Snip!… and she ran like the hounds of hell were on her tail. While not exactly right, she certainly had one angry lion ready to pounce and exact his revenge. When Arik decides exacting physical retribution isn’t quite what would give him the most satisfaction and that he would much rather prove just how wrong she is in declaring she isn’t in the least interested in him, things take on a very heated and interesting spin. But after a very hot interlude of dinner and foreplay all pretenses that their evening will end up between the sheets is shoved rudely and abruptly to the side when Kira discovers her stalker ex has followed her across the country and left her very graphic and crude messages written in blood upon her door. Arik realizes there is a major juxtaposition between the in your face stubborn and mischievous female that is so totally in your face with her humor and sarcasm and the one that reeks of fear when faced with the graffiti on her door. Every protective instinct is engaged. No one threatens what is his. And this woman is definitely his, even if she doesn’t know it yet. So while the laughs and sexy times continue as Arik does his best to corral his human lover, the search for the threat to her very existence takes on a decidedly earnest bent. Because things could not possibly be as simple as a deranged human stalker. Discovering her ex is a werewolf interloper in his city has one alpha’s mane in a total dither. Feel very sorry for one mangy deranged wolf… or maybe not because this evil cur has earned whatever is coming to him. Besides a very engaging romance, When an Alpha Purrs gives you a very good introduction to some very entertaining secondary characters. Enough so that I didn’t exactly wait to skip right into the second, third and fourth books in the series immediately after reading each of the previous. In fact, I stayed up and read them all in one sitting. I couldn’t even be bothered to break to write each review. Hence, why the reviews will all be done in short order one after the other. If I have one complaint it is that at this time the author has no plans to continue the series after book four, A Tiger’s Bride. Because darn it they are really that good. *****Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions*****

I read a few chapters and got bored. Put it down and read something else. Finished that book and tried reading this one again. Managed maybe one or two chapters before I got bored again. Rinse, repeat. Gave up trying to finish it. Nothing about this story managed to catch (let alone keep) my interest. I'm only giving it two stars instead of one because I have run across more poorly written books. Save yourself the time and avoid this one.
