A MOST INDECENT PROPOSAL

Annabelle Green needs a husband-and quickly. To inherit the only home she's ever known, she must be married by her twenty-fifth birthday. But finding a suitor has been next to impossible after a reckless rogue named Quinton Carlisle seduced her into a scandalous midnight tryst. Her reputation in ruins, Belle now needs a rather large favor. And she knows just who to turn to . . .

Quinn can hardly believe that the shy bookish girl he teased as a child has grown into such a brazen beauty. The very idea of marrying Belle to right the wrongs of his past is downright shocking . . . and deliciously tempting. Too bad marriage, convenient or otherwise, is the last thing Quinn wants. He'll help Belle find a husband and be on his way. But if he can't control his attraction to the bride-to-be, this marriage could go up in flames-of wicked desire.

I am voluntarily submitting my honest review after receiving an ARC of this novel via NetGalley. This novel is a solid follow up to If the Duke Demands. Fans of the Capturing the Carlisles series will be happy to see Quinton and Robert Carlisle return in this novel, but it is not necessary to read the first book in the series to enjoy this one. After an engaging and entertaining prologue, the novel's start was a bit slow for me. But once I got further into the book, the tension increased my interest and the novel picked up speed and finished with a surprising and exciting ending. The injustice of Annabelle's situation and Quinton's lack of acknowledgment of his part in creating the issue makes it difficult for the reader to find any reason to like Quinton, but Annabelle is a winning soul. The witty dialogue and clean writing style make this novel a joy to read.

Sweet and Sinful, the perfect combo. I loved having a non traditional heroine with a supportive and loving family, giving her the tools to be able to stick go her guns and know her own worth. Quinn was wonderful, teetering between his lifelong dream and the sexy fantasy underneath his fingertips. When bluestocking and scoundrel combine? Sparks fly! I received an advance reader copy from the publisher, but these opinions are my own.

Ms. Harrington has mastered the art of seduction. She tempts by revealing the story in phases. A little back history here, a bit of romance there and a whole lot of heat is on the way. When the Scoundrel Sins is the latest of her flirty, feel good Carlisle series. A scandal has ruined any chances of Annabelle finding a match. Can a marriage of convenience give her the happily ever after she secretly craves? He means to run, she aims to give chase. What starts as a convenient arrangement becomes the stuff of fairy tales. By stories end a good time is had by all.
