Wow, have been waiting for Bridger's book since reading the first book in the Wicked Horse series. I am so happy to say that Sawyer Bennett doesn't disappoint with this story at all! Bridger the leader of the Wicked Horse salon and The Silo, we have seen him participate in some way in the previous 4 books, a lot of sex with the different couples but what always stood out to me is his way of stepping in and taking care of those around him when needed. From the moment I met Bridger in Wicked Fall (the first book), I was DYING for his story. Sawyer Bennett went ahead and saved the best for last. Although his story was definitely as intriguing as I anticipated, it wasn't at all was I was expecting. I figured there would be more kinky debauchery, like in the previous books. While there were definitely a couple scenes that raised my eyebrows and shocked me a little bit, and it certainly had plenty of heat, it was definitely tame compared to a couple of the previous books. True to Bridger's character, this story was wild and unpredictable, nothing I anticipated and definitely my favorite book in the series. Bridger has some pretty powerful emotional demons to battle and Maggie was just the girl to tame them, and him. Of course, she has some of her own as well, bringing out a side of Bridger never seen before. Hang on tight for the wild ride and be prepared to take an emotional whipping!

I know I say this over and over but the brilliance of Ms. Bennett and the way she has of crafting a story has once again blown me away!! This entire series is outside my norm reading but I found myself anxiously awaiting the release of each book. I am elated to finally have Bridger's story. I knew his backstory would be dark and pain filled and I definitely was not disappointed. It was amazing to see him change on each and every page of this book. Finally caring, finally loving, but fighting those emotions with everything within him! Maggie was the perfect little ray of light he needed and having her enter his life in any other way than she did probably wouldn't have worked. This is a book you definitely don't want to miss! I highly recommend this to everyone 18+
