While there is a variety of ways to explore spiritual growth, the author offers readers the opportunity to view spiritual growth as a call of hope, one that is seen through the lens of the Bible. Through select passages of the Bible, both Old Testament and New, the author reinforces the wondrousness of God, the infinite love of God and the graciousness of God--our God who is present and visible. He suggests in a very concrete and understandable manner that it is from our fellowship with God and Jesus--who, like us, images God--that we are moved to embrace others as siblings, beloved children of God, and to both be faithful to and bear witness to this love. It is through this love that we hope not only to become authentically human but to be whole, free and willing to accept the invitation of God in the everyday.
