Wordsworth writes in long, complicated sentences, phrased in metaphorical and poetic language, rife with classical allusions. And he commonly refers to subjects and concerns which cannot be other than obscure to any but experts in early 19th century European history and literature. That said, the poem DOES make a vivid case for looking to the natural created world - the realm of Nature, with all its incredible beauty, complexity and wonder - for both antidote and cure for political & moral despair.
