About this eBook

My worst nightmare just strode up the stairs.

The second book in the emotional series by USA Today bestselling author Deanna Roy.

I used to live in secret.

Then I walked onto a TV reality show and made a spectacle that went viral.

I did it for Blitz.

To keep him.

But the risk was too much.

I was seen by my enemy.

A boy I once loved.

The father of my secret child.

He’s spent years trying to find me, and now he’s at Dreamcatcher Dance Academy.

He’s going to find our baby, he says. The adoption wasn’t legal since he didn’t know.

He has no idea how close our little girl really is. That I secretly teach her ballet.

And no matter how much Blitz wants to protect me from the threat this man poses to our happy life, there’s one fact I have to face.

My past has caught up with me, and everything I love is in peril.

Wounded Dance is part of a series and as such one really does need to read Forbidden Dance to appreciate this episode in the lives of Livia and Blitz. When the truth about Livia's past emerges, Blitz could have dumped her right there and then, but his protective instincts came out in full force for the fragile Livia. With Blitz's support, Livia emerges into self-confidence and she begins to make a stand for what is right. The unfairness of the actions taken by her father against her is dreadfully painful and arouses the reader to feelings of anger as well as deep sadness. Livia's past boyfriend's stubbornness in wanting to see his child puts Livia on the offensive, but when reality strikes him he crumbles. So unlike Blitz who is willing to take on the world for Livia. A deeply emotional read that strikes at the heart of every mother. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Book Two in the Lover's Dance series picks up where Book One leaves off. While these might be able to be read as standalones, they read more as a continuous series to me. Blitz and Livia are back in San Antonio, taking and teaching classes at the Dreamcatcher Studio and living life together. After seeing Livia on Blitz's show, the father of her baby shows up wanting to clear the air and upon learning they had a child, to see his daughter. I was not even close to guessing who the baby daddy was and wow, what a shock! I love Livia and Blitz. The father of the baby was such a disappointment in the end. I'm really looking forward to where this series goes. *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

I absolutely enjoyed this book. From the moment I started reading I was sucked into Livia and Blitz's world. At times I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster. I was happy for Livia and Blitz. Then I was sad for the things in the past that Livia had to relive. At times I felt bad for the baby daddy and then others I was just plain angry with him. I love the chemistry between Livia and Blitz. Their personalities complement each other. Reading about the things they've been through in this book makes me believe that they'll have a strong relationship that'll last through the good and bad. This was another well written book by Mrs. Deanna Roy and I would recommend reading it. The book ended on a happy note and without the huge cliffhanger like the first one. I definitely look forward to reading the next book in this series and seeing where Livia and Blitz's story takes us.
