 When Dr. Kalam was elected as the President of India, we Indians were immensely proud.<br>A scientist famous worldwide was going to be the President now. The mere thought was mesmerizing.<br>After the great philosopher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan; Dr. Kalam was going to chair the Presidentship. <br>Our political leaders had given us a wonderful gift, a pleasant surprise.<br>Dr. Kalam chaired the post for one year. Throughout his tenure he maintained a simple living and high thinking. His working was devoid of pomp and show. He sought discipline in everything he practised. <br>He always sought a bright future for independent India. To fulfill his dream he would always encourage the youth and students of India. <br>To accomplish this mission, he enthusiastically travelled throughout India and reached all the niches and corners.  During each of his programs he specifically reserved some time slot especially for the youth and school children. At times, he did not hesitate to keep the political decorum at bay. His personality was a harmonious combination of scientific and philosophical mind interwoven with pride for India. He was extremely aware of the current scenario. An in depth study of his biography will surely help the youth of India. One can inculcate as many good qualities from it as possible. He had seen a dream; he had developed a vision to which we all can contribute. This books aims at that.
