Who can tell you the most about a book other than its author?! This 720-page book actually incorporates three books in one: 1) The political and social events that led to the Kerbala tragedy, 2) The aftermath of the tragedy: Nine descendants of Imam al-Hussain (as) and their biographies, and 3) An extensive GLOSSARY of Islamic terms. The last (third) part of it appeals even to Arab readers who are not fully familiar with many Islamic terms or who have a foggy idea about them. If you enjoy and learn from history, you have to have this book. If you are curious about why Shiite Muslims hold nine offspring of Imam al-Hussain (as) as Infallible, you have to read their biographies in this book. And if you wish to familiarize yourself with many Islamic terms and expressions, you can NEVER find a better or a more detailed GLOSSARY than the one this book contains. It is the product of years of research, now you can own it for a very modest price, the one you pay for a lunch at a modest restaurant! This provides you with food for thought that will last forever, whereas the other lasts only few hours or, say, days! Which one is better?! But do not take my word for it, especially since I, its author, is biased to it; just visit a book store and turn its pages. You will see that it is written for the most demanding and inquisitive reader. I guarantee it.
