After going through the book I was mostly questioning how practical the application of most of the content was. Being a software engineer I can honestly say those two words in the title are misplaced as the content of the book does not support the software engineering industry. As many have stated, many formal mathematical models of software sound great, but are very difficult to validate their correctness since glaring flaws can still be seen in them. It is as easy if not easier to make them in comparison to when you are writing them into code. I also question the author for the validity of the content of the book, because referencing yourself repeatedly does not make you sound any more credible.
