“A book for others who didn't inherit anything but gives a light that it's possible to make it with the right psychology and action.”
A book that follows the story of Alfe, of how he grew through his life experiences, of the achievements he made alongside the mistakes, and of the failures and dark times he had to face. Alfe brings you the guide of writing a new blueprint of your life through a living example of his own, with which he endeavors to help people realize their life challenges and learn ways to overcome them.
On the cusp of self-discovery and out looking for the ultimate catalyst to slot the final missing piece to your puzzle of self-awareness, You Are What You Think is a book that will prove to be exactly that—one that encourages the thoughts that dwell in the innermost workings of your mind; afraid to meet the light of day and of becoming a reality.
Since a kid, I've been individualistic, creative, and an achiever, and I’ve aspired to greatness. Yet, I sensed something was missing. I had a thirst for life advice, wisdom, that never went away. I cherish being around older, wiser people because time is priceless. My family in the Dominican Republic are hardworking people. Their inspiration made me want to do my own thing—to carve my own path and not follow anyone else’s. So, when I experienced living in the USA as a five-year-old boy, I knew the USA was part of me.
After finishing high school in D.R., I came back to the USA and struggled with many ups and downs in relationships, life, and careers, because of past childhood pain, I did not have a mentor growing up or anyone in my immediate family that had done what I wanted to achieve. I didn't know who or where to go to have a quality life.
Since then, some of my achievements span over a few certifications and four college degrees with two Masters, and owning real estate. I graduated from Fordham University with a high GPA, became a US Navy Submarine Veteran and was blessed enough to meet strangers who provided a word of advice I immediately applied to my personal and career life. I am a former Google employee and worked for IBM and other big companies. And in every place I've worked, I left it better by providing more than I was asked and figuring out solutions to current and future issues.
This book is for those who want to figure out how to have a better quality of life and don't know how. It’s for those with a thirst to live better—to get a reward for the pain.
