I loved how the author "put me there". I never really knew how it was gonna end, and I appreciate the hard work that was put in to keep it mysterious to the last page. I found this book and author on TikTok from a video of the author's husband doing a hilarious yet intriguing book preview. Honestly, it is what made me look for the book. I am honored to have supported such a beautiful family. Now, if my humble opinion matters at all, I believe it got a tad "flat" right before the halfway point. Nothing terrible, just wasn't as captivating as the rest of the book. I also would have liked to know a little more about the character's "itch". Were they random? Were they more of a targeted thing? etc... I hope my opinion doesn't get taken too negatively as the entire rest of the book was absolutely AMAZING. If you're scrolling through the reviews trying to decide whether to purchase it or not, let me save you some time... Buy the book, you won't be disappointed!!

Intense, engrossing, surprising. This book has me thinking I knew what was going on a few times, and each time I was proven wrong. The suspense keeps you engaged throughout. Good start to my 2024 reads.

Well, I’ve got questions. The ending was missing a connecting component. Without revealing the ending, all I am say is the plot made an unrealistic jump to A plot twist without a smooth transition. Kinda mad that I spent 10 bucks on the book. I’m disappointed.
