I'm absolutely devastated by volume 21's convoluted reveal. The ending for 20 was bad enough. It has got to be one of the worst reveals ever. Let's be clear, Sora is an absolutely wonderful addition. It's everything else. So that was my review 180 pages in... First and foremost, an invasion by Beltrum declares all out war if not just rebels but Galarc too! BTW, everybody inside Beltrum would have to accept the Proxia debacle, but literally no other country would accept that explanation at face value. No matter what, Beltrum is a vassal state to the empire. So, the coalition would eventually gather and conquer portions of Beltrum. The fact that hasn't occurred at all makes this a true fantasy! Another weird ending to a single volume. Really, I would like to Reiss and Rio go at it!

While still an enjoyable read, the change to the status quo felt arbitrary. Introducing such a random list of rules to nerf the main character you spent 20 volumes to build up and re-empower the main villain feels unwarranted. Probably one of the weaker volumes in the story.
