Another excellent adventure from Zara Keane. We were first introduced to Angel in another cozy series. In Apocalypse Meow we meet the mysterious Angel. In this book, I loved that we were able to get to know Angel better. This mystery has so many comedic moments. Angel is on the run from a dangerous situation and goes to great lengths to be incognito. During this time, she meets Sydney- who is ready to shake up his own life- who gets tangled into her situation. These two are headed into several mishaps as they attract bad luck. Angel is able to use her intellect, skills, and wit to get them away from situations. She turns to help from people in her past that she has complicated relationships with. There is also a feline friend that may be a hinderance to their journey. It seems that trouble has a knack for finding Angel and it was a thrilling ride to see what would happen. Lots of twists in this book- as soon as I thought I figured something out, I would discover that I was wrong. I loved how it ended that may set Angel up for a new adventure. I am eagerly anticipating the next book in this series so I can find out what happens to Angel, Sydney, and everyone we met on the way.

I really enjoyed this book, I'm so glad Zara Keane is starting a new series as I already love reading her Movie Club Mysteries and this is an awesome spin-off. Angel gets herself in a bind and it keeps getting worse and worse. Picking up a random stranger on the way just adds to her woes, especially when he's thirsting for adventure, so refuses to leave, in spite of all the bad stuff that's going down. I was reading at a pretty quick pace, mainly because I couldn't wait to see how Angel and Sidney got themselves out of the deep hole they kept getting further and further down into. It was a very satisfying ending, and they're all set up for a new mystery! I can't wait to see where they end up next.
