Andreas Brandhorst, geboren 1956 im norddeutschen Sielhorst, hat mit seinen Romanen die deutsche Science-Fiction-Literatur der letzten Jahre entscheidend geprägt. Spektakuläre Zukunftsvisionen verbunden mit einem atemberaubenden Thrillerplot sind zu seinem Markenzeichen geworden. Etliche seiner Romane wurden preisgekrönt und zu Bestsellern. Andreas Brandhorst hat viele Jahre in Italien gelebt und ist inzwischen in seine alte Heimat in Norddeutschland zurückgekehrt.
