About this ebook

He’s the guy everyone loves, and she’s the outsider who knows better than to fall for the town’s favourite golden boy.

Everyone in Pine Harbour loves Will Kincaid—except the one person he cares about actually impressing. Can grown men have crushes on their frenemies? When Catie joins the small town’s Search and Rescue team, Will finds himself spending every Thursday night swapping glares with the hairdresser while they get in each other’s way.

Catie Berton has a long list of reasons why Will is an arrogant jerk. But the more time she spends with him, the more she’s forced to admit sometimes they make a good team. That doesn’t change the fact that Will has always been her right crush, wrong guy.

When the SAR goes on a road trip to a competition, she surprises herself by agreeing to ride shotgun in his truck. The long drive could be a chance to repair a shredded friendship, if Catie can get past her complicated feelings for the too-attractive-for-his-own-good school principal.

Because Catie knows all too well how cold a small town can be to an outsider who wants too much happiness from one of their own.

Return to Pine Harbour, in this frenemies to lovers small town romance about two people looking to find themselves in the shadow of community expectations.

Also available in this series: standalone novels Reckless at Heart and Fierce at Heart. Each book is about a different couple.

Heartwarming romance with deep family roots I love how this story focused not just on the Kincaid family but also on Catie's family dynamics and how that affected her settling into Pine Harbour. I rejoiced with both Catie and Will as the steps were taken to honor those who deserved it. I'm three books in and I'm in love with every one of the Kincaid brothers. They're very different, yet each one is a good man who fulfills every girl's dream of a book boyfriend. Will is a little more straight-laced and still bears the scars from losing his parents, but he's everything that Catie needs and their journey to their HEA just made me swoon every step of the way. I really appreciate how the author let us get to know Catie in the earlier book, so we can understand a bit of her history, especially her feelings for Will. The writing is, as always with this author, top-notch and thoroughly engaging. Much respect to the author for including a land acknowledgement in the book. She handled a sensitive subject with grace and dignity for all, adding just the right touch of authenticity to her fictional world. If you love small town romances, you have to get deep in the Pine Harbour series. Each is a standalone love story, and each one builds on the previous community interactions. Start with this one, then catch up with the earlier books in this series and the previous series set in the same small town. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is book three in The Kincaids of Pine Harbour and it is Will and Caite's story omg it an amazing and a must read. Caite has returned to Pine Harbour after her mom died as she used to live there years to but she has some bad memories of some of the people there so now she has bought the house that she grew up in with her mum he has opened a hairdressers and real estate office and had a crush on Will Kincaid for as long as she can remember and even though he was handsome, grumpy, irritating and a stickler for rules. Will is the school principle, army reservist in Pine Harbour and the favourite person even though he doesn't know how to have fun. The tension between Will and Caite was so strong and they couldn't seemed to get on even when training together for the search and rescue team and that was not a good combination but they will have to at least try and be cordial in front of others. There was so many misunderstandings between them but after talking it through everything changed between them. The connection and chemistry between them was so strong and not that you could feel it sizzling of the pages of this book but will they ever give in to how they feel of will they just remain and only time will tell and I absolutely loved the outcome of there story. I couldn't put this book down and had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and I loved the constant back and forth banter as it made this a really great story with lots of depth to it. Zoe York is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and on the edge of their seats and all her books are so addictive and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will not be disappointed. I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this Amazing and Emotional Book.

The wait for Will's book was totally worth it! Will Kincaid is liked by everyone in his small town and never has a snarky thing to say to their face, except the one woman who has worked her way into his brain. He can't help himself whenever Catie Berton has anything to say to him. Will is the one person that she tries to civil with, but it always seems to devolve into something sarcastic. Catie has had several crushes on Will over the years, this making it harder to be civil to him now. They keep up their mutual annoyance of each other, until she joins the SAR. Now they have to deal with their growing attraction while maintaining their public, and sometimes private, annoyance of each other. It takes a SAR competition for them to let loose and give in to a one time smoking hot night! I loved watching them slowly break down the walls arounds their hearts and take a chance on love. Loved this!!!
